Will our event be shot in HD?

Answer:

One of the most overused words in the Industry at the moment is the hype over High Definition. HD being phenomenal picture quality, though some companies tend to misuse the word when explaining what format they shoot on. True HD cameras are worth in excess of $80K though HDV cameras (which many companies shoot on) are worth around an 1/8 of the price, as there is a big difference in picture quality. And even if you do shoot on HDV the only way of seeing the main benefit of this format is being able to watch it on a Blu-Ray player. Otherwise the image will be down converted to a standard DVD until Blu-Ray becomes a mainstream format.
